About KTIO
The primary objective in the establishment of the Kenya Trade and Information Office (KTIO) is to support Kenya in the development and implementation of business development plans and strategies, to promote business opportunities in Kenya to North American and other companies, and to actively foster strong relationships with the North American and other governments and related agencies for funding and international trade.
A Central Office will be in Nairobi to channel all the communications. The Central Office will have maps that are coded for every region. When making decisions KTIO will consult the Advisory Board which is Non-Executive.

KTIO will be permanently located in Southern California, USA Business relations between Kenya and North America will be coordinated through KTIO and be targeted at various levels including:
- Government Contact and Liaison
- Private Industries
- Joint Venture Company Candidates
- Project Vendor Opportunities
- Business Professional and Trade Associations
- Media/Press communication and Education
KTIO acts as the primary resource and coordinator for Kenyan officials and personnel. Services provided include travel, meeting scheduling, technology and skill transfer programs, translation, communication, financial affairs, investment, and other support services.
Another important function of KTIO in North America is to provide a central tracking control and management function for all proposed, developed, implemented and completed projects by working closely with the International Relations Organizations in the United States and abroad. KTIO will focus on developing construction, consumer goods, including travel and tourism industries. Special attention will be given to priorities and opportunities for both import and export.
Humanitarian aid and environmental projects are very important as well. KTIO will develop relationships and work closely with North American Private Voluntary Organizations to identify, develop, fund and successfully complete these projects.
